whoever和whomever的用法，一般我們都會遇到很容易判斷的句子。
Anyone who [___ comes] will be welcome.
= Whoever [___ comes] will be welcome.
I will welcome anyone whom [ you invite ____ ].
= I will welcome whomever [ you invite ____ ].
剛剛遇到了一個句子，我直覺答案是whomever
Sometimes I exploded at whomever was unlucky enough to be in my path.
但是，認真想想，因為這個關係子句被省略的是主格，
這個答案是否有可能是whoever呢?

為何你覺得是whomever?

Yes. who/whom(-ever)的選擇是由這關代在關係子句裡頭的角色所決定，不是上一層子句/外層/主要子句所以即使這字前頭有個 at ，此處仍是 whoever(關係子句裡是主詞) (此句的 at 是主要子句的一部分，不是由關係子句裡頭前移 / 不是關係子句裡的一部分，所以和那種介+whom(-ever)不一樣)
