介係詞前面不一定要有動詞，如She,as an interpreter,works in that company.

"The Republic of China" 介係詞of前頭也沒有動詞http://www.learnersdictionary.com/definition/as選 preposition，然後看例句。一堆as前頭不是動詞的例子你應該是接觸的不夠，所以不熟悉的關係
