有個問題想請教大家，今天在書上看到一句話，不知道怎麼拆解比較正確
句子是：
The accountant needs realistic numbers on which to base his plan.
這句話應該是可以拆成
The accountant needs realistic numbers
To base his plan on the numbers
有幾個問題：
1. 關係代名詞可以用不定詞片語嗎？通常關代是由兩個完整的句子組成，
用片語好像怪怪的。
2. 還是我拆解這句話的方式錯了？我有想到另一個拆法：
The accoutant needs realistic numbers.
The accoutant needs to base his plan on the numbers.
但使用這樣的方式，句子應該可以變成
The accountant needs to base his plan on the realistic numbers.
這樣跟原句有相同的意思嗎？

1. 可以。你不熟悉這用法而已。2. 你的"想到另一個"比較接近。你的原句是正式寫法(為了避免 介係詞在句尾)。較日常/較一般的尋常寫法:The accountant needs realistic numbers to base hisplan on.不定詞片語的on所接的受詞和片語之前的realistic numbers相同，不重複寫將句尾/不定詞片語的on移到前頭時原本略掉的受詞要補上->用關代which來代總結就是本來就是一個句子，不要亂拆(除非你遇到不定詞片語也「都要」特別拆成另外一個獨立句子。這其實很沒必要，也增加了無謂的英文學習難度)
