大家晚上好，第一次在這裡發文不太會排版，有參考了其他文章不知道這樣行不行
這兩句我大概知道他在講甚麼，但有些字湊在一起就感覺怪怪的，不太會翻...
請問能怎麼翻呢?

但是不懂跟上下文有甚麼關係、為甚麼會放在這裡

意思應該像是:以恐懼為基礎的矛盾法則(因為恐懼而產生的矛盾現象)
不知道對不對，或是怎麼翻比較好
還想請教大家，看英文的時候有不會的句子都怎麼處理?(查完單字後還是不懂的情況)

這文稿寫的頗口語的，for why should I not so term it? 這句是有點跳TONE跳出原句，像是心中OS的概念，... my superstition 直接接上 served mainly... 看起來就不奇怪了還有 a sickening of the heart... 是在説那種感受是如何如何，個人真心不喜歡這類文筆。（ˊ_>ˋ）

其實如果只是自己興趣讀的時候 不需要每個字都翻譯。看過懂意思就好 因為有很多意思是無法真正用另外一種語言表達的。"For why should i not so term it" 我覺得是個補充詞 。他先稱自己的感覺/想法是一種迷信，然後再加上一句"啊不是迷信的話是什麼？" 就是那句話大概的意思There was a dreariness of thought which no goading ofimagination could torture into anything of sublime這句話他用很生動的方法來表達。 「有一種沈重的想法不管如何想像都無法 轉變成好的想法。」 Torture into這邊的意思應該是「轉變」。他使用「torture」這個詞原因是因為前面用 「goading」(屠宰場電擊動物的行為）。表示他不管使用如何極端的想像力都無法改善這種不好的想法。
