Ground collision between two Kenya Airways Embraer ERJ-190’s at Nairobi Airport; both aircraft seriously damaged
On 9 February, two Kenya Airways Embraer ERJ-190 aircraft collided while on the ground at Nairobi Airport.
Apparently 5Y-KYR jumped off her chocks during a “ground run”.
The crew then tried to avoid the aircraft from hitting hangar walls, but the aircraft hit a parked Embraer (5Y-FFF) instead.
Both aircraft received major damage.
簡單來說，就是兩架肯亞航空的ERJ-190發生地面碰撞事故，註冊號5Y-KYR在地面的時候跳離輪檔
然後機師避免了飛機撞上機庫，但是卻撞上了停在地面的另一架ERJ-190, 5Y-FFF。
兩架飛機都受損嚴重，其中KYR那架預計要大修
