想請教以下句子的一些問題
More recently, Ukraine has served to push the Middle East to the inside
pages, with the carnage of Syria featuring somewhat, but the chaos of Libya,
whose Government we intervened to change, hardly meriting a mention.
問題一: "push to the inside pages" 的意思，是指烏克蘭讓中東問題變得更重要嗎?
問題二:" with the carnage of Syria featuring somewhat, but the chaos of Libya,
whose Government we intervened to change, hardly meriting a mention."
這句看不太懂。我自己的理解是，前半部的"敘利亞的屠殺"是呼應中東問題，但後半部的
"利比亞動亂"為何又不值得一提呢? 語意上接不太起來。
