大家在上面看到中國了嗎? 頂多是在倒數第二項講述冷戰時代美蘇兩強對抗當中
可能提及中國。但是多詳細? 這邊沒能找到資料，但是這本就該是原倡議者該提
供以支持自己主張的。
另外，即便上面提到美國時年級學生必修美國歷史(一)和(二)這兩門課，網路
上還是可以找到許多文章指出美國學生對於本國史的認識之欠缺相當嚴重。本國
史應該比外國史更重要，這點從上面課程設計有兩門美國史而僅一門世界史就可
推知。可必修兩門美國史的美國學生對這方面的認知還是引來該國各界憂心認知
欠缺，那麼中國史僅是世界史的一部分，且僅是中國史一小段的西元一九四九年
之後的部分，我們可預期美國學生能多了解? 尤其是從世界史概觀應包括的課程
內容當中可見，全部中國史也不會是多麼主要的內容的情況之下?

skills when asked basic questions about U.S. history, geography, and civics.

results staggering. A mere 13% of eighth graders scored at the proficient
